Zeinab Shuker is a fellow at Century International and an assistant professor of sociology at Sam Houston State University in Texas. Her work explores the theoretical and policy implications of the impact of oil dependency on the Middle East and North Africa region’s economic, political, social, and environmental development, emphasizing Iraq’s past and present.
