Margot Ngo is an English learners intern at The Century Foundation. Margot is a rising senior at Bowdoin College majoring in government and legal studies and education with a minor in anthropology. Their focuses in education include education in immigrant communities, multilingual education, the disaggregation of educational data in the United States, and equitable access to education for BIPOC and FGLI students. Ngo is a current writing assistant and three-year fellow at Bowdoin College’s McKeen Center for the Common Good, the college’s center for community engagement and service. Their work there centers on anti-racism, communication and accessibility, and the history of service at the college. They additionally volunteer with the center through the educational access program Maine College Circle and as a student mentor on campus and to other students in the local community through high school in Salisbury, Connecticut and now in Topsham, Maine.
