Jordan Nellums is a higher education policy associate at The Century Foundation. He is also a second-year MPA student at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. Jordan graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.A. in political science and a minor in communication. Jordan is also a former Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA)Junior Scholars Institute Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University.

Prior to joining The Century Foundation, he worked for the Texas A&M System Government Relations office at the state and federal levels. Jordan recently served as a community organizer advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion at universities in Texas. While at the LBJ School, he was the Co-Chair of the Barbara Jordan National Forum and is currently an Executive Board Member for the Policy Alliance for Communities of Color (PACC).

Jordan specializes in higher education policy, with expertise in higher education finance, college affordability, and addressing funding inequities of HBCUs on the federal and state levels.
