Charlie Lawrie is a political economist specialized in critical energy studies. He recently completed his PhD thesis at the University of Sussex, where his dissertation examined the political economy of Lebanon’s imported fuel sector. As part of his dissertation research, Charlie spent twelve months conducting ethnographic field interviews in Lebanon.
