Chantal is a fellow at The Century Foundation, senior policy entrepreneur at Next100, and an advocate for students involved in the foster system, working to ensure they have the educational support they need to succeed. At Next100, Chantal’s work focuses on improving academic outcomes and narrowing the opportunity gap between students in the foster system and their peers. Chantal draws on her experience as an education attorney working directly with students and families impacted by the foster system and seeks to see schools as sources of support, encouragement, and care for this unique and vulnerable population.
In 2022, Chantal received the Black Voices for Black Justice award to further her work supporting students in the foster system. Chantal is a member of the 2025 New York Council of Urban Professionals (CUP) cohort–a leadership development program for diverse professionals. She also serves as a board member of SchoolHouse Connection.
Chantal holds a BA in political science from Adelphi University, a JD from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and a master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary.
