Today, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released estimates of the latest version of H.R. 1628, the Better Care Reconciliation Act—an amended Senate bill put forth by Republicans that actually replaces the Affordable Care Act, as opposed to the repeal-only bill. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) plans to bring one of these two bills to a vote early next week. Yet, as with all previous versions of TrumpCare, the latest version would lower coverage, raise premiums, and make dramatic cuts to Medicaid.
