The Century Foundation is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Janice Nittoli this morning.
Janice served as President of The Century Foundation from 2011 to 2014 and was much loved by all of us here at TCF.
Janice was a warm and passionate person, with strong convictions and a determination to leave behind a better world than the one she came into. Through her work at TCF alone, she succeeded in that effort.
Her contributions to the institution were extraordinary. In just thirty short months she helped transform TCF into a stronger and more dynamic public policy presence, recruiting new fellows, stabilizing the endowment, and laying the groundwork for the think tank we are today.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Janice’s family and friends on this sad day.
