Diverse Charter Schools

Historically, school integration has not been a priority for the charter sector. Compared to all public schools, charter schools are even more likely to be racially or socioeconomically segregated.And yet, our work demonstrates that the flexibility of the charter school model can be used—and increasingly is being used—to promote diverse classrooms.
