Zeead is a graduate of the American University of Beirut with a B.A. in psychology and of King’s College London with a Master’s of Science in neuroscience. He has since worked in Lebanon at the American University of Beirut and BBC Media Action, researching social and psychological predictors of collective action, identity formation, and extremism among the local population and Syrian refugees. He also assisted Beirut Madinati, an independent electoral campaign for Beirut’s municipal elections in 2016; helped found Megaphone, an independent online media platform; and has been assisting BBC journalist and Carnegie Visiting Fellow Kim Ghattas with a forthcoming book. At TCF, Zeead will be helping the foreign policy team research the post-Arab Spring state of affairs in the Middle East. Zeead was a member of the 2018 Class of TCF Summer Scholars.
