Tanu Kumar has been a UMA member since 2013. She launched UMA’s Equitable Innovation Economies Initiative in 2016, in partnership with Pratt Center and PolicyLink. In her current role, Tanu Kumar focuses on building UMA’s knowledge base and dialogue around inclusive growth in the manufacturing sector.
Tanu Kumar is also a senior fellow at Pratt Center for Community Development, where she provides urban planning, research, and program design services to community-based organizations, equipping them with more equitable economic development and land use strategies. Prior to her work at Pratt, Tanu Kumar was a management consultant at Monitor Group in India. She also served as director of business development for the New York Industrial Retention Network. She is based in Upstate New York.
