Stephen Herzenberg is the Executive Director of the Keystone Research Center (KRC) (www.keystoneresearch.org), a Pennsylvania-based, independent, non-partisan economic research and policy organization, which also houses the Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Center (www.pennbpc.org). Dr. Herzenberg holds a Ph.D. in economics from MIT. His research has focused on the U.S. and global auto industry, the rise of the service-dominated new economy, the challenges unions face adapting to the new economy, workforce development, economic development, industry studies including early childhood education, long-term care, manufacturing, and construction, and a state policy issues generally.
