Shrien Alshabasy is a communications intern at The Century Foundation. She is a first-generation Arab-American passionate about providing educational and writing resources to students from historically marginalized backgrounds. Throughout her academic career, she has tutored writing and the English language to a diverse group of students. She also currently works as a digital publishing associate at Teachers College Record. In the past, she has published research with the John A. Hartford Foundation concerning elderly mistreatment and elderly care. She has also worked as a communications intern with the Ford Foundation, where she worked on a documentary concerning the Americans with Disabilities Act.
