Sara Stone has been working in public education since 1999. After graduating from Syracuse University with a degree in inclusive education, Sara began her teaching career working with students as a learning specialist and then as a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Midtown West, a small progressive public elementary school in New York City. While teaching at Midtown West, Sara attained a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Bank Street College of Education. She has been an integral part of Roots ConnectED since its founding and believes in the importance of bringing educators together to develop practice and understanding around inclusive schooling and the impact this has on children and our communities.
