Samantha Washington is a junior at the University of Pennsylvania, where she studies Politics, Philosophy and Economics with a concentration in Public Policy and Governance. At Penn, she is a research assistant in the political science department, is on the board of an organization for outreach to LGBT students of color, and has volunteered with several after-school programs in Philadelphia area elementary and middle schools. A D.C. native, Samantha has worked at several advocacy nonprofits working on issues of voting access, consumer rights, and election reform. Samantha was a member of the 2018 Class of TCF Summer Scholars.
