Sabrina received her BA in sociology from Lehigh University in 2019 and is a current master of public health student at the University of Pennsylvania. Sabrina spent the bulk of her free time working and volunteering in emergency medical services as an emergency medical technician. Her daily patient and coworker interactions led to a direct confrontation of systemic health care inequities and a desire to formulate policies ameliorating these conditions. Sabrina is also currently an intern with the Pennsylvania Integrated Pest Management Program where she advocates for environmental justice, specifically by strengthening Philadelphia’s built environments. She meets with community stakeholders to discuss the best practices for eliminating asthma-triggering pests in residential and public buildings, advocates for policy revisions that replace environmentally damaging cleaners with environmentally friendly cleaning products in day care centers, and educates community members about the ecological system to prevent pest outbreaks. In her free time, Sabrina enjoys reading, walking, and cooking. At TCF, she will be working with the health care reform policy team as a Summer Scholar.
