Robert Byrne serves as Digital Communications Manager at The Century Foundation, bringing over a decade of experience in digital strategy across political campaigns, nonprofit organizations, and public sector institutions.

As part of Bernie Sanders’ 2016 campaign, Robert played a pivotal role in developing and launching the “Bernie dialer,” an innovative phone canvassing system that pioneered automated outreach to both landline and mobile phones. He also coordinated LGBTQ outreach initiatives across twelve states, organizing peer-to-peer events to engage voters.

From 2017-2019, Robert led digital fundraising at the LGBTQ Victory Fund and helped raise $2 million for the organization’s historic “rainbow wave”, helping elect 440 first-time candidates to office across the country. His career then took him to DC Public Schools, where he directed digital communications to DCPS families during the pandemic. Robert has also managed digital ad campaigns for prominent progressive leaders and publications, including Congresswoman Cori Bush, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and The Nation Magazine.

At The Century Foundation, he loves building digital communities through social media, advertising operations, and email marketing in order to mobilize TCF users for social change through smart, meaningful policy. Robert graduated from Georgetown University in 2012 and lives in the East Village, NYC.
