Omar Nasef was a foreign policy associate at The Century Foundation, focusing on the geopolitics of the Middle East and international security. His research analyzed the forces of instability and conflict in the region, from water scarcity to sectarianism. Omar has experience in diverse fields, including, media, domestic U.S. politics, corporate investigations, academia and the UN.

Previously he was an Investigator at the Mintz Group, a New York due diligence firm, where he probed fraud, corruption, and other corporate misconduct in the Middle East and the U.S.

He has served in the United Nations Department of Political Affairs, where he focused on counterterrorism issues and conflict resolution. He also provided research support to the author of Cyber Security and National Security, a subject that will demand ever increasing expertise and resources to address. He earned his BA and MA in Political Science from Columbia University.
