Dr. Monique Escobedo, PhD, is PIQE’s Director of Research. Her work centers the intersection of culturally responsive family engagement as a strategy of resistance and transformative outcomes for K–12 learners, particularly from historically minoritized backgrounds. She previously taught in K–12 for nearly two decades, and continues mentoring and teaching in higher education.
