Maria Valle is pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy at UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy. She came to The Century Foundation to deepen her knowledge on access and affordability issues in higher education. The combination of being a low-income, first-generation college graduate, and experience of having worked with high school students from a similar background on the college application and financial aid process motivates her to address racial equity in higher education. Maria holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Santa Clara University.
