Kyle K. Moore is chief economist at The Century Foundation. He studies economic inequality in the frameworks of stratification economics, political economy, and public health. Prior to joining TCF, Moore was an economist with the Economic Policy Institute’s Program on Race, Ethnicity, and the Economy, where he brought a stratification lens to researching the economic well-being of workers and their families.
He has also worked as a senior policy analyst with the Joint Economic Committee’s Democratic Staff, where he advised committee members and authored reports on a broad range of economic policy issues centered on race, class, age, and gender disparities for use by members of Congress and the public.
Moore’s research focuses on the intersection between racial economic disparities and health inequity across the life course, with particular focus on “upstream” structural causes of morbidity and mortality differences across race. His goal is to contribute to building a progressive, democratic vision for economic policy that puts community well-being first.
