Keith Witham is deputy director of the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program. Prior to joining the Aspen Institute, he was on the faculty of the College of Education at Temple University, and previously served as a researcher and policy adviser for the USC Center for Urban Education in its work helping states and systems enact equity-focused policy. His writing on strategies for advancing equity in postsecondary education has been published by AAC&U, Change Magazine, Journal of Education Finance, and in numerous edited collections. Keith received a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in social service administration, both from the University of Chicago. He received a PhD in Urban Education Policy from the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education.
