Joseph Daher holds doctorates from the School of African and Oriental Studies at the University of London and from Lausanne University in Switzerland, where he teaches. He also teaches at the European University Institute in Florence. He is the author of Hezbollah: Political Economy of the Party of God (Pluto Press, 2016) and founder of the blog Syria Freedom Forever.
