Christi Batamula has been working at Gallaudet University since 2005, first as an early childhood educator at Kendall Demonstration Elementary School and now as an assistant professor in the Department of Education. Her area of interest is working with diverse deaf learners and their families, and her research is centered around immigrant families with deaf children, international deaf education, bilingual education, and critical pedagogy. She has a Ph.D. in international education from George Mason University.
