Dr. Carola Oliva-Olson is a retired associate professor at California State University Channel Islands and the CEO and founder of Multilingual Promise. She brings over thirty years of national leadership in early childhood education, with recognized expertise in bilingual teaching, educator preparation, and workforce development. Carola has led initiatives to expand degree pathways in Spanish and co-authored the research-based instructional framework Personalized Oral Language Learning (POLL). She previously served as chief innovation officer at EDvance College, where she launched the nation’s first fully Spanish BA in Early Childhood Studies. Today, she advises policy and practice efforts to strengthen multilingual teaching and learning for young children.
