Ariel Sokol is the founder and principal of Kolari Consulting LLC, an education consulting company catered to both startup and established companies. From 2012 to 2018, he served as vice president of strategy and finance and general manager of institutional business at education multinational Pearson in the Connections Education division, which provides online program management (OPM) virtual school solutions to charter schools and school districts. Mr. Sokol managed acquisitions, led strategic planning efforts, and created approaches to drive operating margin leverage, reversing multi-year declines. Prior to that, Mr. Sokol served as a Wall Street equity research analyst from 2004 to 2011, covering education, software, and media stocks at several banks, including UBS, Wedbush Securities, and Natexis.
Mr. Sokol graduated from Amherst College in 1998 with a BA in history and from Columbia Business School in 2004 with a concentration in finance and economics.
