Alex Coccia is a senior policy analyst at the Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP), where he advances policy work on family and community economic security. Prior to joining CSSP, Alex was a policy consultant for Children’s Defense Fund Ohio, and a special assistant and policy analyst at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation. He received his PhD in politics and MPhil in comparative social policy from the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. Prior to receiving his BA from Notre Dame, he was awarded the Harry S. Truman Scholarship, which supports careers in public service.
