Abulrahman Al-Eryani is a former Yemeni minister of water and environment, and advisor to the office of the president. Al-Eryani worked in agricultural research and advocated for environmental protection in Yemen for more than thirty years. He has led the effort to list Socotra Archipelago as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and supported civil society initiatives to preserve endangered animals.
