Speaker Nancy Pelosi is undeniably one of most significant political players of the twenty-first century, but what will define her legacy?

Join Pace University and The Century Foundation on Monday, December 5 from 4:30–5:45 PM ET to hear from political insiders—Speaker Pelosi’s former chief of staff John Lawrence and former congressman Steve Israel—as they unpack Speaker Pelosi’s leadership, together with president of the Pace Student Government Association, Aman Islam and moderated by WNYC and Gothamist senior politics reporter, Brigid Bergin.

Drawing from his thousands of pages of notes written while serving as chief of staff, John Lawrence has written a narrative documenting his insider perspective in his new book, Arc of Power: Inside Nancy Pelosi’s Speakership, 2005–2010. Complimentary copies of the book will be available at the event while supplies last.

A reception with light refreshments will follow.
