Douglas Williams is a Ronald McNair Graduate Fellow at The University of Alabama, where he is pursuing a Ph.D. in political science. His interests are labor policy, social policy, and public policy as it relates to race and ethnicity. He earned his B.A. in Political Science at the University of Minnesota–Morris, and his Master’s of Public Affairs at the University of Missouri–Columbia. The son of a labor organizer and the grandson of a community organizer during the Civil Rights Movement, Douglas has a keen interest in the impact of public policy on workers and on communities that have traditionally been disenfranchised from our political and economic systems.
