Join The Century Foundation for the second event in our Think. Drink. Mingle. summer series. At this event, we will discuss the future of the fight to achieve gender equity in the workplace. Despite progress, issues such as the gender wage gap and dominantly male leadership still exist as boundaries that prevent women from achieving an equal level of success to their male counterparts.

In 2017, American women who work full time, year round are paid on average only 80 cents for every dollar paid to men—and for women of color, the wage gap is even larger. The path to equity also includes widening access for women to serve on boards, become firm partners, and take on executive level positions. It’s long past time to level the playing field in the workplace so everyone, regardless of gender, can succeed. This conversation will shine light on what the next steps are for seeing real results and ensuring that equity of opportunity is enforced in the future.

Stick around after the presentation to mingle, expand your network, and enjoy some wine and cheese!

About this series:

Think. Drink. Mingle. is back for its third year! This summer, The Century Foundation will host a three-part panel series aimed at bringing together young professionals working in NYC. This year our events focus on what it means to be an everyday activist in today’s political climate. Each event will explore the role that everyday citizens can play in making change a reality, even if they’re not full-time activists.
