In what may be the largest civil demonstration since the uprising, Egyptians are expected to take to the streets on June 30 to protest the government of Mohammed Morsi. Already, as many as 15 million Egyptians have signed petitions in a show of no-confidence in the government. Many experts are worried the demonstration will turn violent.

The Century Foundation senior fellow Michael Wahid Hanna is an expert on Egypt and has written extensively on the effort to form a new Egyptian government. Fellow Thanassis Cambanis, who is based in Beirut for The Century Foundation, has a regular column in the Boston Globe and is finishing a book on post-revolution Egypt.

Hanna and Cambanis will discuss the political environment in Egypt as well as the planned protests and take on-the-record questions from the media. An RSVP is required.
