The Peter A. A. Berle Environmental Integrity Award
The Century Foundation, in cooperation with the National Audubon Society, the Natural Resources Defense Council, the Environmental Defense Fund, the Environmental Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, and former colleagues of Peter A. A. Berle, created an award intended to recognize environmental integrity demonstrated by public officials and private citizens in the United States. Peter A.A. Berle was a Century Foundation trustee.

In Memoriam: Peter A. A. Berle
Nov 1, 2007Peter A. A. Berle, the secretary, former chairman, and long-time member of The Century Foundation Board of Trustees, died on Thursday, November 1, 2007. With his death, the nation has lost a true champion of the environment.
